Barbara Meier, Attorney-at-Law, Senior Associate at Vischer
"I joined the CAS in Responsible Business Conduct to deepen my knowledge of responsible business practices and the array of legal and voluntary tools that exist to meet RBC requirements. The CAS gave me the opportunity to discuss in detail with experts and peers the relevant legal norms, from soft law, such as the UN Guiding Principles and the OECD Guidelines, to existing hard law.
What sets this CAS apart is the direct access it provides to leading experts in the field, from industry experts to academics and government officials. The program excels at connecting you with these professionals, including your fellow CAS participants, allowing you to gain firsthand insights into their approaches to complex problems and their proven solutions.
The insights gained from the CAS I can now directly apply to my daily work consulting clients. I would highly recommend this program to any professional seeking to bridge the gap between RBC theory and practice, as the unique opportunity to learn from and engage with top-tier experts and your fellow CAS participants provides an invaluable experience."

Pia Schneider, Public Affairs Manager, Swiss Coalition for Corporate Justice
"My objective in enrolling in the CAS in Responsible Business Conduct was to deepen my expertise in this field and to engage with practitioners from business, academia, civil society, and international organizations. While I was already familiar with the key frameworks, standards, and legislation on responsible business conduct, the program provided highly valuable insights into the practical implementation of human rights and environmental due diligence.
I particularly appreciated the in-depth sessions led by experienced experts from around the world, which offered a comprehensive overview of the global RBC landscape and best practices. Despite my initial reservations about an online format, the CAS maintained a good balance between theoretical input, practical exercises, and interactive discussions with lecturers and participants. It also demonstrated great responsiveness to the rapidly evolving legislative environment by integrating current political processes and debates into the curriculum.
The participants represented a broad range of backgrounds, which greatly enriched the discussions and learning experience. The program also fostered lasting professional connections, many of which I continue to maintain today."

Maryna Kupchuk - Deputy Head of International Investment Cooperation Division, NCP Secretariat, Ministry of Economy, Ukraine
In what ways did the course enhance your knowledge or skills, and how have you applied what you learned in your current role? What would you say to someone considering enrolling in this course?
"The course significantly deepened my understanding of European legislation in the RBC field, particularly in RBC Due Diligence. In Ukraine, these standards are still in the early stages of implementation. However, the country's aspiration to join the European Union and its commitment to European values have made it essential to accelerate efforts in this area. Participation in this course helped me identify key priorities and the necessary steps to advance this work.
I have applied the knowledge gained in several ways: preparing recommendations for businesses on implementing RBC standards, contributing to the development of a governmental action plan for incorporating RBC into national policy, and creating training courses to raise awareness among various stakeholder groups.
For anyone considering enrolling in this course, I would highly recommend it. It offers a profound immersion into the subject of RBC, providing the opportunity to learn from top experts, acquire invaluable new knowledge, or expand on existing knowledge. You will also develop practical skills, such as crafting Due Diligence strategies, and receive expert feedback on how to improve them. Additionally, the course fosters connections with like-minded professionals, enabling the exchange of ideas and experiences that will be valuable long after the course ends."
